FIVB Executive Committee concludes, Board of Administration set to meet Wednesday


PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, April 14, 2010 – The FIVB Executive Committee concluded its meeting at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort and Convention Centre in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic on Tuesday with proposals now finalised for the FIVB Board of Administration which will meet from Wednesday until Friday.

 

Key proposals to the Board included a new Beach Volleyball development strategy with an aim of giving under priviliged federations the chance to organize and play Beach Volleyball, the introduction of an end of year Beach Volleyball Festival to celebrate the international Beach Volleyball year and approval of the Continental Beach Volleyball Cup regulations, which includes revolutionary Olympic Games Beach Volleyball qualification criteria.

 

All proposals will now go in front of the FIVB Board of Administration, which meets at the same venue from April 14-16, for a final decision.
